Celebs Hot! & Not!

> With a new summer upon us, the air is glistening, the sun is shining, and weekends are lasting longer; Pool parties, beach outings and good times are in full effect.  This also means it is swimsuit season and everyone who’s anyone usually shows up on a yacht, a beach or at a resort looking good in a bikini/tankini/retro one-piece.

The “good” is usually perfectly toned, sporting seamlessly chic hair, and is often a celebrity.  With the “good,” the “bad” often make an appearance too. Making the  “worst dressed” list everywhere, sometimes it’s not so much about being fit but the fit when it comes to a suit choice.  We’ve all been there; a suit seems like perfection and then “Oh.”  Not so much.  When celebrities do this though, it almost feels like the impossible is happening.  Most paparazzi-popular people have enough pocket change to hire a stylist to fit them in perfect beachwear sure to be picture perfect. Needless to say it’s all a part of the summertime memories indeed so here are a few on the right side of the fashion fence and a few on the… you get my drift.

Let’s just start with someone undeniably beautiful with a body truly admirable.  Sports Illustrated model Brooklyn Decker kicks off our look at some of the brighter moments in the sun.  Hard work, determination and to be quite honest, seemingly good genes make this top model stand out whether in person or on every magazine cover she graces.  Natural beauty combined with wearing some of the best swimwear, you can’t help but to look twice.

Another lady that has consistently made headlines for her amazing and enviable body is none other than Jessica Alba.  The mother of two is always fierce in a bathing suit.  While she works for her fabulous physique mostly running, and doing basic motherhood duties, she proves hard work and daily dedication pay off.  With stylish suits best for her build, she understands which bikinis flatter her and isn’t afraid to show it.  Jessica truly sweats for her look so you just can’t help but appreciate the perseverance.  You can’t help but want to go run around the block for exercise!

Meow-ow!  Although fearless for fashion, Rihanna is up to her wilder antics in this swimwear choice.  How does this happen?  While her daring flair is admirable, it’s frightening and awkward.  Her hair? Fabulous.  Lite beach sweater?  Cozy.  The suit? Miss the mark!  Sorry, Rihanna but we definitely still love the majority of your fashion attempts and of course your music!

Remember when the song ‘Tik Tok’ by artist Ke$ha hit the air waves a couple summers ago?  It was a party anthem.  You couldn’t hear that song and not think about fun.  Now, with much success, Ke$ha is a regular name in music.  Her wardrobe choices are also on the people’s radar.  More often than not, she has been on the receiving end of a fashion smack down and also relatively common is her inability to pick a suit that truly accentuates the right areas.   It’s definitely tik tok time to GO TO the bathing suit shop.

It’s hit or miss with Lindsay Lohan in all elements of her life, even her choice in swimwear.  Sometimes she looks super and sometimes you wonder if she dressed in the dark.  Her ability to look really great in a variety of bathing suits does not waiver however.  Lindsay manages to maintain a physique and accentuates what works for her in that moment.  She also manages to always rock cool shades and keeps her hair just messy enough to motivate a beach trip consistent of wave crashing and having the time of your life.

Most ladies dream of chiseled abs once warmer weather approaches.  On the contrary, sometimes there are visions on the other side of bliss.  One of which is Steven Tyler, who almost always pictured in one of his infamous Speedos.  While admiration is there for his bold choice, there really is no way around the initial shock each time a new image emerges.  Maybe it’s the assortment of random Puka shell necklaces and pinky rings he often sports but all around Aerosmith’s front man is mostly on the swimsuit don’t list.

Now to remove that image, picture George Clooney.  George is proof that when you’re good to oneself, when you execute your talent consistently and if you learn to laugh at yourself early on, your body is perfection as you age.  Clearly, that is what does it for his always-magnificent form.  Hey, you’ve got to believe in something, right?

Keeping with the intention of not provoking any nightmares, another guy eager to show off his ever impressing beach ready body would be Ryan Reynolds.  He is the epitome of absolute delight. This seriously talented actor keeps all eyes on him when he’s having some fun in the sun undoubtedly.

Whether your bathing suit choice is a do or a don’t, having fun is what it’s really about so go ahead and laugh a little and just have some fun in the sun! If you happen to have a moment less than ideal in your swimwear remember to embrace your true beauty regardless.  And just to be safe it doesn’t happen again, burn the offending swimwear. Quickly.<
